Naperville student disciplined for threat
According to a note sent home and e-mailed to parents Friday, a student at Naperville's Longwood Elementary School has been disciplined for a bomb threat found on a bathroom wall inside the school Friday morning.
In her note, Principal Laura Devine Johnston wrote that the building practiced lockdown procedures by securing the students and searching the building for suspicious items. No items were found.
"You may have heard in the news that similar incidents have occurred recently in our area," she wrote. "Longwood has a safety plan in place and conducts regular drills. We successfully executed our procedures."
