Public's not at fault for atrocities of war

Regarding Ron Coppel's Fence Post Sunday: I assume from the tone of your letter that you accept full responsibility for the atrocities committed by our troops during World War II, the Korean war and the Vietnam conflict.

Or are you the typical liberal where everyone is responsible so no one is responsible.

Many German people were unaware of the atrocities committed by their government as I assume you are of American killings during war time. To indict all the people in a country with which we are at war is ludicrous.
