Businesses have duty to America

The article, "Business without borders," perhaps should have been named: "Business without care or concern for the future of America."

Affinity Express CEO Kenneth Swanson is boasting about sending 1,000 good jobs overseas that will not be available to our young people while at the same time taking their American customers money and using it to support families across the globe.

Our economy is not only adversely affected by the lost jobs and wages. As an employer of people in these foreign lands, Affinity will not have to contribute to unemployment programs with contributions to local (SUI) or federal agencies (FUTA) like us who are employing locally - even if we have no claims.

Affinity will not have to match costs of their employees' Social Security and Medicare, helping to support these programs that are already failing the hard working and contributing American worker.

Mr. Swanson, you're correct in saying that "the borders between states and countries have been blurred" and that "businesses have to innovate and help their customers evolve."

So why not have your vision checked so you can see the damage companies like yours are doing to the American people and innovate here in your own country to help your fellow citizens?
