Let marketplace decide fois gras

In my opinion, the better way to have handled the fois gras situation would have been for Chicago Alderman Moore to repeatedly hound the media to publicize the abuse of geese rather than bring the issue before the city council.

Let us decide for ourselves whether or not we would consume the product.

The city council should have considered the law of supply and demand rather than voting for an unenforceable ordinance.

If enough people decided not to order fois gras with their meal, restaurants probably would not offer it on their menus.

The fewer diners ordering fois gras, the fewer restaurants selling fois gras, the less the abuse of geese.

Supply and demand!
