Durbin blocks oil and gas production

Time for us all to send a letter of thanks and appreciation to Sen. Durbin for being such a wonderful blame game pundit.

He and other brilliant Congressional leaders called on the Big Oil boys to account for high oil prices and reamed them for profits and pay packages.

Nothing was said about real solutions to the problem, such as allowing them to produce oil and natural gas on our land and sea.

Billions of barrels and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas are there for the taking.

The Institute of Energy Research says that the oil shale in the Rocky Mountains "is more than seven times the amount of crude oil reserves found in Saudi Arabia and enough to meet current U.S. demand for over 250 years."

We cannot disturb this, Alaskan oil or offshore oil reserves.

Thanks again, Sen. Durbin and your Congressional pals.

Let's stop this nonsense and start producing our own oil and natural gas!
