What's happened to my party?
As a registered democrat for over 50 years, I wonder where my Democratic Party has gone.
It surely is not the party of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin or the Clintons.
It was the party of Joe Lieberman but the Democrats kicked him out of the party.
I guess he was too principled for them and a man of strong but honest convictions.
While straying from strict party lines in my past voting, it seems that I am disenchanted with the Democratic Party at all levels of government: city, county, state and federal.
The city is a joke, only surpassed by the county which is run buy incompetents, which doesn't say much for us as we elected them.
As for the state, three former governors have gone to prison. Our elected members of the state and federal general assembly are more interested in their own egos and personal wealth than the will of the people.
It is time for more than a change. It is time for a complete house cleaning. Throw the rascals out, including those that did nothing but sit on the sidelines.
If they are not part of the solution, they are part of the problem.
