Thoughts on the cost of going green

On page 3 of the Lake County edition of the Daily Herald on May 11th, it tells of the pay raise for the Lake County Board members.

In the May 15th edition, I read the forest preserve is going GREEN in the printing of its Horizons publication. Steve Carlson is a commissioner on both the Lake County Board and forest preserve. He accepted a raise for he County Board, and also said that the new printing method for the Horizon would only cost an additional $23,000 to go green and that additional amount is "chump change".

Is he living in a different world than the rest of those of us in Lake County? Perhaps he could donate his raise as a Lake County Board member to help defer the cost of going green.
