Public comment sought
With its elementary redistricting now completed, officials in Barrington Area Unit District 220 want to know what residents thought of the process. The school is conducting an online survey to gauge opinions on the redistricting process, which was led by the resident-based enrollment monitoring committee. All District 220 residents are encouraged to visit barrington220.org/ emcsurvey to participate in the 12-question online survey, which will help determine the viability of similar communitywide approaches in the future. The survey will be available through June 8. In April, the school board approved the elementary redistricting, which moves up to 132 students in four different areas next year.
New Hoffman park officers
The Hoffman Estates park board has reshuffled its officers. Commissioner Craig Bernacki was elected president, replacing Scott Triphahn, who remains on the board. Kaz Mohan assumes the vice president's post with Keith Evans becoming treasurer, said park district Executive Director Dean Bostrom, who remains board secretary. Park commissioners voted on the changes at their annual meeting.
