Best & Brightest

• Anthony Mattana, was named to the college of Fine Arts dean's list at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Anthony is a 2007 graduate from Libertyville High School. He just completed his freshman year in the School of Drama, working on a degree in production technology management and specializing in sound and lighting design.

• Robin Everson of Round Lake graduated with a master of nursing degree from Elmhurst College at the midyear commencement ceremony held Feb. 10.

• Jeffrey Crawford, son of Don and Karen Crawford of Lake Zurich, received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington at the May 3 commencement ceremony. He was awarded with High Distinction for being in the top 5 percent of his class and recognized with the "Mitte Honors 2008" from the Kelly School of Business.

• John Frederick McGaha of Gurnee graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.

• Kevin Crawford, son of Don and Karen Crawford of Lake Zurich, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list at Indiana University's College of Arts and Sciences in Bloomington. Kevin is a graduate of Lake Zurich High School majoring in mathematics.
