Polish club cancels May 31 match with Fire

The Chicago Fire announced today their international exhibition game with Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok on May 31 at Toyota Park has been canceled.

Jagiellonia finished its league season in a position where they are required to play a two-leg playoff to stay in the Polish First Division. Those games have been scheduled for May 28 and 31 and therefore the team is unable to travel to Chicago to play the game.

Fans holding tickets for the game may do one of the following to exchange or refund their tickets:

1. Tickets can be redeemed for seats to the Fire v. Wisla Krakow match Wednesday at Toyota Park by exchanging them at the stadium box office before the match.

2. Tickets also can be exchanged for any 2008 regular season Chicago Fire game, subject to availability, up to June 2.

3. For refunds, call (708) 496-7700 or visit the Toyota Park box office.

Fire season, suite and club ticket holders will be offered another bonus game later in 2008.
