Beauty and love, light years away

Recently, a point of light became observable for the first time through a new giant binocular telescope installed on a sacred Navajo mountaintop in Arizona.

This point of light is a spiral galaxy and contains hundreds of billions of stars that no stargazer on earth has ever seen before.

It has taken its light 102 million years to kiss our earth and add to the global warming of our hearts.

This entire spiral galaxy, 100,000 light years in diameter, revolves about its axis once every 2.5 billion years. It is only on its fifth revolution.

What is seen is not there. It has shifted its position in the expanding universe.

Right now, everything that we sense close around us has taken a microsecond to make its presence known to our brains. There is no instant impingement of what is there.

From the past dark dichotomy of compartmentalized prejudice and hatred comes the emerging synthesis and light of peace and love.

Just as there is a physical gap between thought and thing that sustains truth, there is a spiritual gap between every relationship.

The energy of the quantum leap across that gap is love and its power is infinite.

We see, but barely comprehend, the galactic flowering of light in the silent sky that is nurtured in every instant by the creative caress of the fingertips and breath of the great spirit .

We are invited to follow the synchronous, serendipitous, brilliantly choreographed steps of the first lord of the dance.

It is he who provides the invisible jump ropes to the laughing children in the ghetto projects, the jump ropes that only he and they can see!

In actual fact, most of the beauty of this world has never been seen by anyone but God.

Finally, forgiven and rescued from the precipice of disaster, we are invited to reach out with both hands to enlarge the dancing shadow in the circular sanctuary of life that is revealed at the end of the celestial path of peace!
