Full text of Kankovsky letter

The following is the text of a letter that the Lombard library board sent to the village about the old DuPage Theatre property:

April 8, 2008

Dear President Mueller and Village Trustees,

Thank you for notifying us that the Village will be considering future development on the 101 S. Main Street site.

While the Library has no specific plans at this time to pursue a Library building at that site, we are very interested in whatever is developed there. The Library is part of the downtown, so what is developed there could have a bearing on our future.

We are committed to maintaining open communications with, and cooperating with, Village Government, Park District and other taxing bodies and civic organizations for the betterment of our community. As such, we always welcome the opportunity to participate in discussions, focus groups, hearings, or the like, concerning that site or the downtown area in general.
