Product recalls

The following recalls have been announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission:

• About 14,000 sun-shaped candle holders, manufactured in China and imported by The Home Depot, because sunlight traveling through the glass decoration can cause nearby objects to catch fire. The company has received one report of a fire. No injuries were reported. The candle holders were sold at Home Depot stores in the southern and western regions of the country between January and March 2008. Call 866-403-5504.

• About 2,500 pairs of K2 Auto series snowboard bindings with model year 2007, manufactured in China and distributed by K2 Sports. The bindings were recalled because the cable that attaches it to the toe strap can break, posing a risk of falls. No injuries have been reported. The bindings were sold by snowboard, ski and sporting goods shops around the country between August 2007 and May 2008. Details at 800-985-2191.

• About 74,000 Lil' Snugglers children's blankets, manufactured in China by Douglas Co., because the blanket's satin edge can come loose, putting children at risk of strangling. The company has received 18 reports of the satin separating, but no reports of injuries. The blankets were sold by specialty stores around the country between April 2005 and December 2007. • About 6,000 Little Rider cowboy on a horse toys, manufactured in China and imported by Master Toys & Novelties Inc., because the surface paints may contain high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children.
