Catholics not cause of priests' sins
I am responding to the letter of Monica L. Zabor of Arlington Heights. I do not agree with her statements that when one Catholic falls, we all fall. Where in our religion are we taught that?
I spent over 12 years in Catholic school and I was taught that each of us is responsible for our own acts and sins.
Walter Frank is correct that Catholics are not to blame for wrongs of our priests.
No one said the German people were to blame for wrongful acts that Hitler committed. He alone and his followers are to be blamed and not the innocent people anymore than we Catholics are to be blamed for the pedophile priests' wrong doings.
I don't believe you fully understand what the Vatican II meant in stating we are priestly people.
We have priests in the news for stealing money from their parishes. Does that mean that we are to be blamed for that?
