Stroger reminds us he doesn't get it

Thank you Officer Pusateri (front page news story, Wednesday) for letting Mr. Stroger know how we suburbanites feel about his management of Cook County.

Further into the article, it's stated, "Standing next to the head of the Cook County Department of Public Health, Dr. Steven Martin, his brother-in-law, he (Mr. Stroger) defended county spending and hires."

Mr. Stroger just doesn't get it, does he? We suburbanites are fed up with footing the bill for the nepotism which is rampant in Cook County government.

Why is it that all of Mr. Stroger's most vocal supporters earn six figure salaries and just happen to be closely related if not to Mr. Stroger himself then to one of his hand-picked county commissioners?

My desire to choose key Republican candidates in the last county primary meant I could not request a Democratic ballot in order to vote for Forrest Claypool over Todd Stroger.

But make no mistake, Mr. Stroger, in the next county primary, I will request a Democratic ballot precisely to let you know how I feel about your management of Cook County.
