Naperville principal to fill position at Geneva school

Geneva has raided Indian Prairie District 204 to fill its last school principal spot.

Ron J. Zeman, principal of White Eagle Elementary School in Naperville, will head up Western Avenue Elementary this fall.

He takes over for Kathy Pease, who is moving to Geneva's administrative offices to become curriculum director.

Zeman, who will start July 1, will be one of three new principals in Geneva's five elementary schools. New principals were named earlier this year for Harrison Street and Heartland elementary schools because their principals are retiring at the end of this school year.

He has been principal of White Eagle for five years. Before that, he was student services coordinator at White Eagle, a physical education teacher at Georgetown Elementary in District 204 for five years, and an adaptive physical education specialist with the DeKalb County Special Education Association for five years.

More than 40 people applied for the Geneva principal jobs.

Geneva is still looking for an assistant superintendent for business. Rebecca Allard is leaving June 15 to take a job with Palatine Elementary District 15.
