Thanks Garrett for fighting pay raises<

Thank you, Sen. Susan Garrett.

It is not too often that a member of the General Assembly, like yourself, puts the people of Illinois before themselves.

Our state, as well as our nation, is having economical crises due to poor leadership. Yet, we have members of our governing body, like Senate President Emil Jones, crying that they need the money.

However, Mr. Jones as a retiree from the state of Illinois, I had to work three jobs to support my family.

The agency where I worked had sufficient funds to take care of the public rather than their employees. However, it was my choice to work there.

Mr. Jones also has a choice regardless of the compensation to work for the people of Illinois.

If Mr. Jones and the other crybabies need more money, then they should find employment in the private sector, but beware Mr. Jones, you might have to work for it.
