Walgreen Co. snags Tyson Foods CFO
SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Tyson Foods has announced that its chief financial officer, Wade Miquelon, is leaving the company to take a similar job at Walgreen, the nation's largest retail pharmacy chain.
Miquelon joined Arkansas-based Tyson Foods, the world's largest meat-processing company, in April 2006. His new job at Walgreen will take him to the company's headquarters at Deerfield.
Tyson Foods president and CEO Dick Bond says that in his two years with the company, Miquelon "strengthened our finance and accounting functions by helping them move beyond financial reporting to become more in tune with our overall operations."
Dennis Leatherby, senior vice president of finance and treasurer, will perform Miquelon's duties until the vacancy is filled.
