Real reason the Senate fears recall

The recent action by the Illinois Senate to thumb their noses at the will of the people by killing the recall amendment was not really to save Public Official #1 but their own self preservation. By the time a recall could be enacted his term would just about be over, with little chance of re-election and a possibility of criminal indictment. Our senators were apprehensive that they and their colleagues might be subject to recall. Remember this in the fall elections.
