Irony in liberals' criticism of Wright

Re: Burt Constable and the spin on Rev. Wright.

It is of course, ironic, that the left-leaning media, which basically destroyed Mr. Romney and Mr. Huckabee over their supposedly radical religious views, are upset with the views of the self described mentor of Barack Obama.

1.) If Barack Obama joined the church for political reasons and did not really attend, he may be merely a political hack, using the church for his own political reasons.

2.) If he attended regularly, with his family, to hear the vile, radical hate speech spewed by Rev. Wright and did or said nothing, he is not morally equipped to deal with world leaders.

3.) If Mr. Obama did not know about Rev. Wright's polarizing views, why did he remove him last year from the invocation at his presidential announcement, at the last minute?

4.) Why did he wait for the Monday Press Club speech to disavow Rev. Wright, when all the things Rev. Wright said were already echoed on Friday with Bill Moyers' softball interview?

5.) Number 11 of the 12 items of the Black Values System of Trinity (published on their Web) says, we "Pledge Allegiance to All Black Leadership Who Espouse and Embrace the Black Value System." Did Obama make the pledge to his minister or not?

6.) As quoted in a recent Investor Business Daily, Obama told the Chicago Tribune Wright was his sounding board for truth: "What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice. He's much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I'm not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that's involved in national politics."

Remember, the media did everything to drive the religious right out of the campaign for the Republicans, but the same media fostered and fawned over the two most far-left Democrats. Sometime, Burt, you must reap what you sow, or as Rev. Wright would say: "Your chickens are coming home to roost." It is not about race, it is about honesty, judgment and values.
