Condell says thanks to all of the nurses

In celebration of National Nurses Week, Condell Medical Center is proud to recognize and thank the 670 registered nurses in various roles throughout our organization.

This year, the American Nurses Association has selected the theme, "Nurses: Making a Difference Every Day," capturing the true essence of these highly skilled health care professionals who work diligently every day to save lives, meet our patients' needs and improve the quality of health care.

National Nurses Week began on Tuesday and ends on Monday, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession.

The purpose of National Nurses Week is to raise public awareness of the value of nursing and to help educate the public about the vital roles nurses play in meeting the health care needs of those we serve.

To celebrate National Nurses Week, Condell Medical Center pays tribute to our nurses in a week-long series of events including a Nursing Excellence Awards Celebration, complimentary car washes for all staff nurses given by the hospital's nurse managers, complimentary use of the Centre Club fitness services during the week, and--in conjunction with National Hospital Week being held next week--a special appreciation lunch served by the hospital's leadership team.

In honor of the dedication, commitment, and tireless effort of the nursing professionals at Condell and in our community, we are proud to recognize registered nurses everywhere and salute them for the quality work they provide seven days a week, 365 days a year.
