Elk Grove Village resident reports burglary

Elk Grove Village police Friday responded to a report of a possible residential burglary at 10:30 a.m. on the 1500 block of Stafford Circle. A resident said four men forced their way into his home, possibly to steal his property. Earlier, one man had been seen ringing doorbells in the neighborhood. Police said a medium blue Ford SUV was seen in the neighborhood just before the incident, but it's unknown whether it was connected in any way. Police are advising residents to lock doors and windows and to call 911 to report any suspicious vehicles or activity in their neighborhoods.
