Blood drive at Sheraton today

The Sheraton Chicago Northwest, 3400 W. Euclid, Arlington Heights will be supporting its local community hospitals by hosting a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. The Sheraton will offer the donors a free Coco Key water park pass. All donors will also be entered into a random drawing for a free overnight stay at the Sheraton which includes water park passes for a family of four valued at $270.

Meet the state senator Saturday

State Senator Dan Kotowski will be meeting with local residents in a meet and greet format from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Dominick's at 980 Elk Grove Town Center in Elk Grove Village. Alzheimer's discussion Tuesday

Concetta Forchetti, M.D., Ph.D., will discuss Advances in the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias at 6 p.m. Tuesday, at Arden Courts Alzheimer's Assisted Living, 1940 Nerge Road, Elk Grove Village. Prospect bands gather for concert

Prospect High School will present its Spring Band Concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the school cafeteria. The program will feature the concert band, symphonic band, and percussion ensemble under the direction of Chris Barnum, and a special guest appearance by the Prospect Chamber Choir, directed by Ken Whitney. Works by Copland, Vaughn Williams, Gould, and an arrangement of Beethoven's Fur Elise by senior Brian Eiffes will be performed.
