Judge delays access ruling

A judge postponed ruling on news organizations' motion seeking immediate access to sealed court records and transcripts related to R. Kelly's pornography case. Judge Vincent Gaughan said Thursday that he'd issue an order on the motion on May 16. The motion also sought an end to a gag order on attorneys. It was filed by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and The Associated Press. Gaughan has said previously that he's trying to protect Kelly's rights and prevent information from influencing prospective jurors. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to charges that he videotaped himself having sex with an underage girl.
