Cook Co. plant sales

If you're looking for something to gussy up your yard this spring, this is the perfect weekend to start.

It's plant sale season and a whole bunch of local garden clubs and not-for-profit organizations are joining in.

Here is a list of upcoming events where you'll find a nice selection of annuals, perennials, hanging baskets and more.

Friday

Faith Lutheran Church flower and plant sale: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 10, 431 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Flowers, flats, baskets, and planter from Arte Verde. (847) 253-4839.

Saturday
