Cougars clobber Whitecaps: The Kane County Cougars collected 11 hits, including a pair of home runs Tuesday, en route to a 10-3 victory over the West Michigan Whitecaps before 3,763 at Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Larry Cobb and Matt Smith had the homers for the Cougars (20-10).
