Six taken to hospitals after hit-and-run accident
Chicago police are looking for the driver of a car that fled the scene after striking two adults and four small children as they crossed the street.
Officer Marcel Bright says that according to preliminary reports, none of injuries are considered life threatening. The adults and the children, ranging in age from about six months old to three years old, were all taken to area hospitals.
The accident happened at about 11:30 Tuesday morning in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
Bright says police are still trying to piece together whether the six walked into traffic or the car ran a stop sign or traffic light. But he says the beige sedan left the scene.
