Day of Prayer is a way to pander votes
The United States Congress has seen fit to pander to the religious right with so called national day of prayer.
This is an insult to the 30 million plus non-theist, humanist, free-thinkers and Pastafarian's. This is also clearly a violation of the establishment clause of the Constitution.
I not I am against groups having their day but I agree with the great Thomas Jefferson that a wall of separation between church and state should be complete. This congressional act is not only not legal it is not genuine. It is nothing more than pandering for votes.
