Wait…who's in charge?
Isabella Popaduik scored the lucky ticket by winning the Fun Fair raffle that made her principal for day Thursday at Bartlett Elementary School.
Attending class was an afterthought for the first grader, as she was given major responsibilities.
Isabella shadowed six-year school veteran -- and the actual principal -- Merle Erlich. They made morning announcements, went to meetings with the janitorial staff, walked around the school and made deliveries to classrooms.
The Fun Fair was April 25; the event earned $700 in profits, according to event chairwoman Gigi Bendis. This was the first year the school offered the principal-for-a-day prize.
One of Isabella's duties was greeting kindergartners.
