Community band to play

The Arlington Heights Community Band will perform at 3 p.m. on May 4 at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights. Conductor Adam La Spata will direct the 55-member band, playing favorite melodies in a performance called "When East Meets West" and include songs from "Miss Saigon" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." The concert is free. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling (847) 718-7702.
