Illegal immigration bad for America

When all else fails, use the race card. The U.S. is the most diverse country in the world. People from most countries can take driving tests or vote in their ethnic languages. If a Hispanic person can speak English, he will blend in like everyone else. No country can allow 12 to 20 million people of the same ethnic background in without changing its own character.

I agree illegal immigrants come because there are jobs, but I also say that if the jobs disappear, they will also. They break our laws coming here and the companies that hire them also break our laws. They both should pay the price. We are losing jobs because of outsourcing and illegal immigrants working for substandard wages. The middle class is getting bit from both ends. There are ways to come into this country to work, like green cards, but you have to apply and wait your turn. We have to close the borders for our security, not to pick on Hispanics.

I have a problem with La Raza demanding a path to citizenship for these illegal immigrants when they should be demanding improvements in all areas from the Mexican government. President Reagan tried comprehensive reform and all it got us was more illegal immigrants because the conditions in Mexico keep getting worse. Mexico needs to step up and help its own people. Immigrants come to us with documents, these people have no legal documents so they are illegal immigrants.
