Youth theater set to stage 'The Jungle Book' for kids
Students ages 8-18 of Christian Youth Theater will present "The Jungle Book."
The shows will be at 9:30 and 11:45 a.m. May 8 and 15; 7 p.m. May 9 and 16; 2 and 6 p.m. May 10, 17 and 18; and 2 p.m. May 11 at the Lake Zurich Performing Arts Center, 300 Church St., Lake Zurich.
The show, recommended for kindergartners through eighth-graders, is based on the tale by Rudyard Kipling about a young boy named Mowgli who was raised in the jungles of India by a pack of wolves and learns the laws of the jungle from his friends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther. The show runs about two hours with one intermission.

Christian Youth Theater is a non-profit, educational theater arts program for students ages 6 to 18 in the Kane, Lake, McHenry, Northwest Cook, Rockford Metro and DuPage County areas.
