Lake Zurich police search for child molester

Lake Zurich police say they are looking for a man suspected of sexually abusing a boy Sunday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Police were called late Sunday afternoon to investigate the inappropriate touching of the young victim in the bathroom of the church at 11 S. Buesching Road.

The incident happened either during or shortly after a church dinner around 5:45 p.m.

Police interviewed the victim twice with help from the Lake County Child Advocacy Center. The victim's mother, who was standing outside the bathroom, gave a description of the subject.

The department is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect from an artist's sketch.

The suspect is described as a 200-pound, 40- to 50-year-old male with a stocky build, gray hair that's possibly balding, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and white flannel shirt, light blue jeans and dark shoes.
