United Airline's poor decisions
I just read where United Airlines stock fell 37 percent to $13.55 and has about 8 billion dollars worth of debt.
This is a company that reneged on many of its financial obligations by declaring bankruptcy and compensated its chief executive Glenn Tilton $40 million in 2007.
The company recently declared a huge dividend when it should have used this cash toward paying down its debt.
This is a prime example of poor leadership rewarding itself for poor performance. Are the employees, tax payers, and public going to have to pay to bail out United for Glenn Tilton's incompetence when United fails again?
