How you can really support the troops

I hope that everyone is aware of Sen. Jim Webb's (D-Va.) co-sponsorship of the Post 9/11 Veteran's Educational Assistance Act (S.22 and HR 2702).

In the words of Sen. Webb: "Our nation's men and women in uniform deserve a GI Bill that rewards their service and invests in their future"

Our all-volunteer army is being asked for much more than they signed up for with three, four or even five tours of duty. The least we can do is this. The educational awards have not been updated for many years.

It is time to support our troops with more than a bumper sticker or a flag! If you really support the troops, visit Sen. Webb's Web site and show your appreciation.

Then, ask your local and national representatives to support the bill as well.
