Bull rider injured

BLOOMINGTON -- Authorities say a bull rider was seriously injured during his performance at a Professional Championship Bullriders tour event at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.

The unidentified rider injured Saturday night was transported to BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal, where he was listed in serious condition late Sunday.

Coliseum spokesman Bryan Bloodworth declined comment on the injury, referring questions to Professional Championship Bullriders tour officials. A message left for the organization by the (Bloomington) Pantagraph was not immediately returned Sunday.
