Global warming just a false alarm

Patti Hudak's letter (April 22), like all global warming tracts, relies on two false assumptions. First: the earth is warming up. Second: mankind is causing it, and we can and should stop it.

However, there is a great deal of controversy in the scientific community about whether the earth is actually warming or cooling.

This planet's weather is being run by the sun, not by us humans. Even our cloud cover seems to be regulated by particles in the solar wind.
