Woman dragged by CTA bus

A 28-year-old Chicago woman is hospitalized with several broken bones after a CTA bus dragged her for about a block. Attorney Tom Prindable says his client, Yvonne Bernier, pounded on the bus door and screamed for the vehicle to stop after her hair or another body part was trapped in the closed door. Prindable says Bernier had attempted to enter the bus near her home when the bus driver closed the doors and she became trapped. Prindable says Bernier suffered broken bones in her left arm and several other bones on her left side. CTA officials couldn't confirm the account that the woman was dragged, saying only that the agency and Chicago police were investigating the incident. Prindable says lawyers hired by Bernier's family plan to ask a judge to impound the bus and related records.
