Keep safe watch out for motorcycles

As an avid motorcyclist, it concerns me that we are "invisible" on the road. I just do not understand how a driver cannot see another vehicle.

When I depart on my bike for a day trip or just to run a few errands, I am very aware that I may not make it back in one piece. I take the time and care to have the appropriate gear and to ride with caution, but no matter what I am wearing or how cautious I am, I know this is a risk I take.

Now that weather has taken a turn for the good, I would like to see all drivers take an additional split second to see that single headlight or take care not to tailgate the vehicle in front of them.

Those of us on the road could breathe and ride a little easier. After all, we have a right to be on the road also.
