Teen accused of scrawling school threats

Grayslake police have made a third arrest tied to bomb threats that were written on bathroom walls at village schools last week.

Police operations Cmdr. Matt McCutcheon said Thursday that a 14-year-old boy was charged with felony disorderly conduct as a juvenile for the threat he wrote at Grayslake Middle School.

McCutcheon said the teen was identified after several witnesses stepped forward. The incident occurred April 15.

Last week, Xadon L. Ivory, 17, of 24065 Haidas Lane in Lake Villa, was charged with felony disorderly conduct in connection with two threats scribbled April 4 in a Grayslake North High School washroom.

McCutcheon said a 10-year-old boy was detained by police last week for writing a threat on a boys bathroom mirror at Grayslake Elementary District's Frederick School. He said the boy will receive a punishment and not go through the criminal justice system as part of a station adjustment with a youth officer.
