Activists mark raid's anniversary

Immigrant rights activists in Chicago are commemorating a raid one year ago on a shopping mall in the predominantly Mexican Little Village neighborhood. Last April, officers from U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement stormed the Little Village Discount Mall and locked it down with shoppers inside. Many were arrested and at least 22 people were charged in a conspiracy to make more than 15,000 bogus documents a year. Activists claim the officers used excessive force, which federal officials dispute. The activists used Thursday's anniversary to call for legislation to stop workplace raids.
