Tribune cuts back its distribution

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Tribune said Tuesday it is ending contracts this month to print the paper at sites in Champaign and Madison, Wis. All editions of the Tribune will be printed at its Freedom Center in Chicago. That means service to some areas downstate and in neighboring states will be discontinued. Subscribers who receive the Midwest edition via mail will now receive a beefed-up city edition as a result of the changes.
