Use political funds for charity instead

I watched the American Idol aid show and I wept.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all our presidential hopefuls would simply state their qualifications and plans for their administration and donate the millions they have been pledged to the homeless, needy, children, education, medical fields to find cures for cancer, AIDS, etc.?

It's shameful with the state our country is in to this money to buy votes.

If a candidate would do this, he or she would win the vote.
