U of I officials not as kind to students
The University of Illinois president and trustees increased their athletic director's salary by $75,000 plus a $100,000 bonus so that he might join the million dollar salary elite. No doubt it would have been more if either his football or basketball teams had a winning season.
The same president and trustees are now increasing students tuition and fees 10 percent, thereby precluding students who can't afford the $20,000 per year cost.
Are the U of I president and trustees totaling lacking in priorities and the purpose of our university? Should they now consider sharing the very generous welfare of the university administrators with the students?
