Thanks for support of school fund-raiser

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the families and community of K.E. Neubert Elementary School in Algonquin for their generosity and dedication to our Bi-Annual Spring Fling Fiesta Auction held on April 19 at GCI in Algonquin. Our efforts in securing funds to rehab our school library netted $29,000 and greatly exceeded the expectations of our target amount.

The committee that has labored for the past 12 months produced a topnotch affair, and all who attended were dazzled by great food, great entertainment, and some fabulous deals on over $40,000 of donated goods and services, many from our local businesses who generously provided for the goal. A special thank you to Mrs. Jacqui Weber for her expertise in putting together such a successful event, from the raffles, silent auction and the exciting live auction, none of which would have been possible without her.

It is times like these, when our communities come together for a worthy and common cause, that shows us all the value of teamwork. I'm proud to be associated with such a caring and concerned group of people!
