Fire closes Naperville Malnati's
Fire caused a Naperville pizzeria to temporarily close for business after a blaze started in the restaurant's storage room.
Naperville firefighters responded to Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, 131 W. Jefferson Ave., about 6:30 p.m. after the restaurant's automatic alarm and sprinkler system activated after sensing smoke, Naperville Fire Department Battalion Chief Rich Polarek said.
The fire was contained by the sprinkler system, and all customers and employees were safely evacuated, Polarek said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The restaurant was closed for cleanup for the remainder of Monday evening.
No one was injured. A damage estimate was not immediately available, Polarek said.
