Donate items for time capsule

The village of Buffalo Grove's 50th Anniversary Committee invites Buffalo Grove residents and businesses to donate items to be included in a time capsule. The capsule will be buried on the municipal campus on Sept. 1 and unearthed in 25 years on the village's 75th anniversary. Donated items must be provided to the village by Aug. 15. Only one item may be submitted per household or business. Maximum size of documents is 11 inches by 7 inches; items must be no larger than 6 inches by 6 inches by 4 inches. Due to the size limitations of the time capsule, not all items may not be included. Drop off donated items from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays or 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mondays to Village Hall, 50 Raupp Blvd. Include a name and telephone or e-mail address on each item provided for consideration.

Learn to fence in Long Grove

Fencing classes will be offered through the Long Grove Park District at Kildeer Countryside School starting Thursday for a six weeks session.

Kindermusik classes will be offered for newborns through 4-year-olds June 25 through July 23 at the Reed Turner Woodlands in Long Grove.
