We should be mad about state, country

I'm mad and fed up with what is happening in our state. And you should be also.

It is time to replace the leadership in Springfield as they have been doing nothing for the residents. It is time to rid ourselves of Blagojevich, Madigan, Jones and others in leadership positions and bring in representatives that will represent the will of the people and compromise on getting fair results and good programs for our tax dollars.

No capital programs for roads and bridges that are falling apart, education and infrastructures of our towns and cities are in site. You should be screaming loud and clear. They are clueless to the people's needs, yet they can give $1 million to a church school, (whatever happened to separation of church and state) cost the taxpayers $35 million for free public transportation for seniors, raises for themselves, and now the state talks of purchasing Wrigley Field, yet cannot provide services it is suppose to and pay the debts it owes.

Since when is this state so wealthy it can afford the above but not fulfill other financial obligations and is running a budget deficit?

I'm mad and fed up with what is happening in this country. And you should be also.

We have the most incompetent and dishonest administration in Washington in recent history. We have the most inept Congress that constantly backs down to the worst president in my lifetime. Worse than Jimmy Carter.

This country is spending $12 billion of our tax dollars a month in Iraq for people who have been at war with each other for thousands of years. The trillions of dollars for Bush's war could have been used in this country.

We have a falling dollar which has pushed oil prices to record highs. A federal deficit that is the largest in history and growing that my children and yours will be paying the price for many years to come.

Homeownership is in a perilous state. The housing industry, auto and airline industries are falling apart. China and the Arab countries are buying up America like it is a fire sale with our oil monies and the products we purchase.

Speaking of oil money, the oil companies are stealing us blind, just look at their profits. This administration and Congress are doing nothing about it.

There is no leadership in Washington and none in sight. Our candidates for president bicker but do not discuss the real issues this country has, some of which I mention above. They do not discuss the failing Medicare and Social Security programs or rebuilding America, or gun and immigration reform. I can go on and on.

Folks, the Roman empire is collapsing again and we have no leadership to prevent it. We need new people to step up instead of sitting on the sidelines. Get mad, I am and if you're not mad, you are not living in the real world.
