Episcopal

Calvary Episcopal Church will host May Friendship Day with an 11 a.m. worship service May 2 at the church, 222 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Lunch will be served at noon.

Women from all faith congregations are invited. The theme is "God's Wisdom Inspires Hospitality, centering on scripture. The event includes readings, music, group participation and devotional presentations.

The cost is $5 payable at the event. Reservations are requested. Call (630) 879-3378.

Lutheran

Bethany Lutheran Church offers reflections of the Triune God in a series of contemporary services that take place through May. The church is at 8 S. Lincoln Ave. in Batavia.

Through drama and contemporary music, the worship services will be centered on the trinity. Sunday's service highlights God the Father, the Father of all creation. On Pentecost, May 11, the service celebrates God, the Holy Spirit.

Covenant

Batavia Covenant Church has contemporary worship at 9 a.m. and traditional worship at 10:35 a.m. Sundays at the church, 1314 W. Main St., Batavia.

Life Together classes for children and adults are held during both services.

The church also offers preschool and a before- and after-school program.
