God helps those who aid themselves

Re: Your Poverty in the Suburbs story -- Trayce Davis is going from minimum wage job to the same, part-time job hopping and she has no high school diploma.

OK, then I see the caption of the picture of her in her apartment with the boyfriend working on the computer. Nice flat screen monitor. Gee, that didn't come cheap did it?

I'm trying to work up some empathy for these people you have as the centerpiece of this story and it's not gelling.

As far as I know, there's no excuse for dropping out of high school and then moaning that you can't find a high paying steady job.

Maybe if she went back and got her GED equivalent, did get up at 5 a.m. to get those jobs she keeps complaining about others getting, then maybe she could be productive and stop feeling sorry for herself.

God helps those who help themselves.
